The wonderful diversity of the island of Pag

The island of Pag itself is oblong in shape, and from one end to the other it takes more than 1 hour by car. The specificity of the island is that it offers numerous natural beauties of completely different vegetation, surroundings and types of beaches, as if you are not on the same island.

Let's start from the town of Pag and the hidden cove in the shadow of the oak forest - Bošana.

Bošana is a real little paradise for all those who want adventure and research. The ideal way to get around it is by quad along the old macadam road that once connected Novalja and the town of Pag. Bošana hides numerous smaller coves, to which you descend steeply from the main road. Once you get to the beach, you will be breathless. The beaches are pebbly, crystal clear, with a view of the other side of the island and the village of Metajna. Nearby is the funky hostel Big Yellow house as a perfect oasis for drinking iced coffee or something a little stronger in the shade of the pines and small fast food.

If we continue along the old road from the town of Pag and Bošana towards Novalja (keeping in mind that the road is difficult for cars to pass, it can be passed by motorbikes, bicycles, quads, etc.) we reach the village of Kolan and the beautiful coves: Sveti Duh,Čista and Prnjica

Our favorite is certainly the Čista beach, whose very name (Croatian "čista" = clean) gives a hint of what awaits us here. The steep descent by car towards the parking lot feels like riding an adrenaline rollercoaster, and the view is unreal. Entrance and parking for the beach is €3 per car. Within several bays and the main big bay there is also a charming restaurant & bar with canopies that can be rented for all those who want to afford a touch of comfort and luxury with a million dollar view.

After this beautiful bay, the road takes us further towards Novalja, but this time on the other side of the island to the family settlement Gajac.
In addition to the fact that this settlement is urbanistically brought to perfection, it is rich in greenery with a beautiful promenade by the sea, numerous sports fields, bars and restaurants - an ideal place for families and all those who want a quieter atmosphere.

Our favorite is Braničevica beach in front of Palma beach bar. The coast is pebbly, while the seabed is covered with white sand, which gives the sea a turquoise green color. Pure exotica! And to make things even better, the mentioned Palma beach bar right in the background offers a wide selection of flavored iced coffees, smoothies, ice creams and a rich gastronomic offer.
A few meters away there is also a nice beach for dogs and all other four-legged furry lovers.
